In the beginning the high school year, Sasha was a transsexual and came out to the world as such. Sasha had a difficult time, but he knew that thanks to his music and family they would help him handle it. Jim and Sasha both are songwriters. They have been playing at local venues, open mics, and at other venues. While The Voice coaches did not reveal the story of Sasha's past, she as well as Jim shared their life journey through a short introduction clip that was played prior to the show. The two talked about the music they listen to as well as how Sasha began playing guitar at the age of just six years old. The musician was able to grasp the musical form faster because his father is also a teacher. Sasha, a female born child, has a tough time figuring out his identity. In an Instagram post, he recently opened up about his struggles. Jim, meanwhile, was overwhelmed with emotions as he explained his inability to be present during those difficult times. Sasha Allen, The Voice contestant, was born a girl. The age of Sasha Allen will be 19 by 2021. Sasha started his transition as an undergraduate male in high school. Sasha said in his Instagram, "I am the third transgender individual to appear on this show and I'm delighted to be a transgender person on such a large platform."
